 Some of the world's best G scale model trains come from Lehmann Gross Bahn in Germany. This starter set gives budding engineers everything they need to start riding the rails: a 1-amp-powered locomotive, two gondola cargo cars, and enough solid-brass track for a 4-by-7-foot oval. The set also includes four plastic Playmobil-style workers, who can load five oil barrels onto the gondolas with the 6-inch-long plastic forklift. Aspiring conductors also get a whistle and signal paddle to coordinate traffic, while a cardboard screen with a tunnel provides background scenery.
